This wiki seems to lack a generic community page on the sidebar, so I figured I would use this.

'''To the other people who Galleus is paying to help update the wiki:''' So, what do? What should we focus on first? I've been updating skill tables and the like, and I wanted to handle lore-related stuff, but unfortunately I'm largely ignorant of game events at large. I'd like to get any recommendations and insight from you. {{User:Lin/sig}}

: And then it turned out there wasn't anyone else. Now to cope with my fear of abandonment. {{User:Lin/sig}}

::Where do I start? :D - [[User:Tahl|Tahl]]

::: Wherever you want! We have some pretty outdated skill pages, for instance, which people have been working on, and articles like [[Zsarachnor]] have like, a single sentence of information. Anything you want, really. {{User:Lin/sig}}
::: Also, for signatures you're thinking of <nowiki>{{User|Tahl}}</nowiki>.

Where/From whom did you get that awesome logo! It's really cool! - [[User:Erion|Erion]]
:That's actually my artwork. Just wanted something flashy to put there for now, since I'm jelly of the other IRE wikis. {{User:Lin/sig}}
::I figured that 'cause you didn't credit it, it was yours, but wasn't sure. That's really awesome. [[User:Erion|Erion]]

== Guild Pages ==

For the many instances in which the guild and class share a name, I've created a disambiguation page to differentiate between the two. It seems silly, but ideally we ought not be linking directly to the disambiguations themselves. Remember, you can create a more specific link by doing: <nowiki>[[Syssin (Guild)|Syssin]]</nowiki>. {{User:Lin/sig}}

Hey! I've added the Daru guild page and related class page, and futzed about with a couple redirects for those pages, so everything should be working pretty.

I've also updated the class navigation template so that it's accurate, but haven't had time to make changes to lycanthropy to make them more general (Lycanthrope (Atabahi) for example) so I just added a note that said class alignment isn't always the same as the guild that teaches the class for now. -{{User|Daingean}}

== Pimp yourself out ==

Don't forget you can make your own fancy, silly user pages! I'm working on a badge system, like they have at Ankyrean Archives, so we can be dorky and show everyone how cool we are. {{User:Lin/sig}}

Aha! I managed to make my own page. I feel so pleased right now I think I could burst! - [[Teani]]

== Hello guys! ==

Hello to the new team! I don't have to feel so ''alooooooone!'' This page is a good place to discuss where to take the wiki, and other discussion, although naturally the in-game news board is good too. {{User:Lin/sig}}

== New thing to look out for ==

I have made an important template, called "skill." You should use this to link to the pages of individual skills (because Aetolia's vocabulary is a little weird, a skill refers to the individual abilities in a skillset). The reason we use a template is so that (1) skills will stand out and provide easy reference for players wanting to find information on them, and (2) any change made to the template will apply itself to ''every skill link on the wiki, no matter how many''.

Usage:
<pre>{{skill|Phase}}

{{skill|Crosscut}}</pre>

This is the official discussion page for the entire wiki. Here, you can find out how to contribute to the wiki, or chip in on any wiki-related talk.

Q: How do I create a new topic?
A: Next to the "edit" tab at the top of the page is a '+' symbol. Click that to get a form that will let you fill out a new topic.
Q: How do I respond to something?
A: Click the "[edit]" on the right side of a topic's header. Once there, you may post a response by adding a new line beneath the line you wish to answer. Please indent your answer using a colon. Example:
Hi guys, this is a post on the community discussion page! {{User:Lin/sig}}
:Well ah do reckon it's a mighty fancy privilege, bein' able to talk to you an' all. ~~~~
When you've posted something on here, please sign your post, so we know who you're talking about! The easiest way to sign your post is to simply type ~~~~, which will append your name to your post. You can also add a fancy signature in one of two ways; find out here.

Ways to Help

If you have free time and would like to help out, here's a list of things that can be done:

  • Check the list of wanted articles. This is automatically generated when two or more pages contain links to a page that doesn't yet exist.
Wanted Articles
  • Categorize articles. We have a list of existing categories and a list of uncategorized articles. To add an article to a category, click that page's edit link and at the bottom of the entry, type [[Category:Category Name]] (Where "Category Name" is the relevant approved, existing category) and click "Save Page". E-points if you mention what categories you added in the summary box.

  • Expand on stubs. Stubs are articles that are far too short, and require more information. If you are feeling lazy, be sure to also mark short articles as stubs as well! You can do this by inserting {{Stub}} at the bottom of the article, above the categorization if applicable. Adding the Stub template will also automatically put that article in the Stub category. Note that creating just stubs (that is, a new page with maybe one line and {{Stub}} ) is not really any better than just leaving it blank.
Uninformative Pages
  • Expand on articles that were either copied from the game, or are poorly written.
Help Files Needing Expansion
Pages Needing an Overhaul
  • Add images to articles.
View Upload
  • Eliminate dead-end pages by adding links to other articles.

  • Priority pages: Sidebar!
The sidebar pages are the most visible and will probably be the first any new player will access. It is imperative that these contain useful articles.
