After Iosyne's very public destruction and mutilation at the hands of Her Sister Omei, the remaining elements of Her former mortal shell were reclaimed by the shadowy forces of the Black Keep, where Llazuth the Demon Spider Queen invested her demonic power into reviving the Goddess. Offering her most trusted servant Lachesis as a mortal shell, Llazuth and her Dark Empire now swear fealty to the Goddess in exchange for Her part in Zsarachnor's eternal destruction.

Taking up residence in the Black Keep of Azdun, Iosyne has had years for sheer, blind hatred to take root within Her psyche and is said to be very much different from the Divine Muse that She was once known. Her anguish at Her Sister's betrayal has shaped Her into something monstrous and terrible, and She is prepared to carry out Her animosity for Omei, and by extension all things beloved by the Artist.

Allying Herself with Llazuth and the forces of shadow which shaped Her into this new being, She values terror and violence above all else, discarding the subtler tools of manipulation, politics, and corruption. She is destructive and hateful, utilizing brute force and fear to carve a swath of carnage throughout Sapience, in pursuit of Her vengeance. Her followers - sadists and killers, generals and warlords - are as driven and obsessed as She in demonstrating their application of brutality and savagery. Her tenets, merely a framework of rules to operate within. Iosyne rewards Her loyals with power and status over praise and enlightenment.

Her favored colors are red and black, for their association with blood, pain, and shadow. Centipedes, spiders, and scorpions often accompany Her in droves, as creatures of the underground where She was reborn. In Her violent wake is often found a mess of blood, gore, and offal, as She relishes in carnage and brutality.
