Getting involved within your city of choice can often be a very rewarding step for your playing experience as a whole. Through doing this you will not only earn the opportunity to play a vital role in the maintenance and general ruling of one of the game's four cities, but you will also get to add your own personal touch in developments and the day-to-day aspects of the city.

Each city is broken down into numerous roles that work together to ultimately keep things flowing and working. The roles themselves may carry different titles from city to city, and to some carry somewhat varied expectations, but ultimately the basics, as well as the commands utilized, are the same.

Cities typically have the following roles and positions:

City Leader - A singular leader that is usually known as the above-all ruler of the city.

Divine Patron - The singular God or Goddess that is said to be the Divine of choice that symbolizes best what the city is trying to portray, or in other words which Divine matches best with the city as a whole. If there are developmental issues with the city that cannot be taken care of by one of the various ministers, the Patron is usually the one to seek for assistance. Because this is a Divine; however, it is typically a last resort.

Divine Advisory - A group of Gods that collectively represent the religious Orders present within a city's citizens. Should a particular Divine have 5 or more citizens within His or Her Order that belong to a particular city, He or She will automatically show up upon that city's Divine Advisory.

Ruling Council - A group of citizens that are typically the highest in power below the city leader. The ruling council has the power to elect a new city leader with a majority vote.

Cardinal - Cardinals are the religious leaders of a city, typically a known member within the Order of that city's Divine Patron.

Ambassador - The ambassador of a city is in charge of taking care of the city's novices, as well as any treaties and organizational conflict.

Minister of War - In times of war, the minister of war is in charge of overlooking the city's militia, capturing territory, and generally overlooking matters that pertain to wartime.

Minister of Security - The minister of security is responsible for the city's guard upkeep, as well as maintaining and executing city law.

Treasurer - The treasurer is in charge of allocating money from the city's treasury to the various ministries that operate within.

Steward - The steward, much like the treasurer, is in charge of keeping track of gold flow. The steward; however, more specifically keeps track of revenue generated by gambling, banks, and other sources.

Minister of Trade - The minister of trade is responsible for maintaining a supply of commodities within a city. He or she has the duty of buying and selling commodities, as well as setting the right price of them to ensure neither a shortage or abundance.

Chancellor - The chancellor is in charge of the city's shops and tax rate. If a shop owner wishes to remodel their shop or title it with a new name, the chancellor would be the one to seek out.

Minister of Culture - The minister of culture is responsible for the city's arena, library, and cultural engagements. They typically plan and arrange events to emphasize the city's values or traits of the citizens like contests, quizzes, games, and other usually fun events.

Minister of Development - The minister of development is responsible for the city's various buildings. This includes building expansions or other modifications of city property.

Minister of Research - The minister of research is in charge of overseeing the city's Ylem production, and the investments involved therein.

NOTE: All ministries may have aides that carry (for the most part) the same abilities as the ministers themselves. Becoming an aide to a ministry of some sort is typically one's first step into politics. If you would like to become an aide to a certain ministry in particular, simply seek out the minister you wish to assist with their duties and send them a tell stating such.
