On the 24th of Midautumn, in the early hours of morning, a strange rumbling echoed through the land. Soon its cause became apparent as clouds of sulphur and smoke arose above the southern volcano, around which the city of Bloodloch is located. Within Bloodloch, citizens panicked as the earth shook beneath them. But soon, the rumblings had ceased. When the ground stilled at last, the city dwellers found that the small quake ripped the very stone of the city, opening gaping fissures into the abyss below.

Lead by Elisandria and Vermillion, the citizens of Bloodloch wasted no time in exploring. What they discovered was a series of underground caverns inhabited by strange creatures, who called themselves Lava daemons.

At this time, Achavis came across a very interesting member of this race. This daemon called himself Furf, the Mad Prophet. True to his name, he wasted no time trying to preach his strange philosophy which consted of "Die", "Destroy", and "Listen Furf." However, this daemon had a quick temper and a quicker club, and many citizens were slain as the enraged Furf rampaged through the city of Bloodloch.

Luckily, help was on the way. The chieftain of the daemons, a rather large fellow named Urgh, soon made himself known to the city officials. Vermillion and others then spoke to Furf, who was soothed by their assurances of conversion to destruction. A crowd gathered around Furf, and he was just expressing his joy at finding a good student to Leo when Urgh appeared.

Despite Urgh's efforts to bring Furf back to his senses, the Mad Prophet persisted in preaching his esoteric "Truth". Maddened by Urgh's denial of his words, Furf decided to settle things the old-fashioned way. Unfortunately for him, Urgh's club turned out to be bigger, and the would-be prophet was dragged back to his home, somewhat chastized and quite dazed from having sense knocked into him.

In return for the city's help, Urgh generously invited all the citizens of Bloodloch to visit his domain freely. The volcano lies dormant once again, though what will come of this new breach between the city of Bloodloch and the dwelling of the lava daemons is yet to be seen.
