Overview
Ulangi is an island off south-eastern coast of Sapience. The best way to get there is to go to the village of Delos, previously located in Shastaan, and take the ferry there. Ulangi itself is a large forested mountain with a colony of Horkval on one side and a swamp with a colony of Grook on the other side. The two colonies are reputed to have serious disputes and are extremely hostile to each other. The hostility boils down to the fact that the Grook practice magic and the Horkval hate them for it, being very poor magic-users.
The Destruction of Ulangi
On the 25th of Ios, in the year 428 MA a terrible psychic weapon of General Kr'tachi destroyed most of the island. Thankfully, the swift actions of Enorianite warriors earlier in the crisis preserved the lives of both the Grook villagers and a breeding pair of Ulangi Horkval, allowing both races a thread of hope for their survival. With Ulangi reduced to a petrified monument to Kr'tachi's hubris, it remains to be seen where these disparate peoples will find a new home.
