The Dowaf were the ancient ancestors of modern Dwarves, existing during the time of the Wars of Power in the Age of Despair. Very little concrete information is known about them. It has been suggested that the Dowaf were part of the cultural body known to archaeologists as the Hlugnic peoples, but no concrete evidence has been provided.
