Since the dwarf Dorin Silverbeard escaped the claws of Amairgen bearing the blade portion of the sword of Gar'losha, the Consanguine could not rest. All their efforts were now centered towards recovering the blade before Trabarg and Dorin could manage to re-forge it. The Troll king, who was all too well aware of the dread nature of the blade, was feeling torn. Despite being deeply worried about once more unleashing this horrific force on the world, he finally decided that he must take up his heritage and recover the blade. As the blade itself was slowly being re-forged in the hot smithies of Trabarg and Dorin, tension grew as the contenders for the sword made ready.

For half a year Trabarg and Dorin toiled until finally they had managed to reform the blade. Trabarg shouted in exultation of their grand work, unwittingly alerting not only the Troll King but Amairgen, Lich of Bloodloch. Her raspy voice was heard throughout the land as she demanded the blade be returned to her. Of course, Trabarg and Dorin both refused. In Hashan, remembering the recent genocide perpetrated on the Troll race, a group of warriors began to gather. Each and every one of them was determined to protect the Troll king from harm.

Yet even then, the forces of the Consanguine and their allies were drawing ever nearer to Hashan. Meanwhile, Trabarg had given the blade to Iereas Aruvar and asked him to deliver it to the Troll king. Using a sonic portal as transport, the group in Shallam joined up with those in Hashan protecting the Troll king. Seizing their last opportunity for a strike, the consanguine moved in, determined to slaughter everyone there and recover the blade before it could be used against them. The forces protecting the blade held firm, determined to keep hold of the blade and deliver it to the Troll king. Swords and magick clashed in a bloody battle, yet the forces around the king were prevailing, and victory began to seem certain for them. Just then, an Occultist named Kerian called on the pact he had made with the lord of the Chaos Plane Golgotha, opening up a pit of sheer evil to assail his enemies.

The tide of battle was turned against the Troll King. In the chaos and confusion that followed, a young woman fighting with the Consanguine of the lands picked up the blade that was lying forgotten on the floor and fled to the protection of Spinesreach. Even as everyone was searching for the sword, she spoke to the Prince Zahmekoses, offering him the blade in exchange for the gift of immortality - the Embrace of the Blooded. Zahmekoses accepted her request, and the new thrall presented her master with the sword of Gar'losha. The cheers of the Consanguine echoed over Spinesreach as they reveled in their seeming victory.

But the Bloodloch Lich Amairgen brooded still. She sent her emissaries to Zahmekoses, beseeching him to allow her to study the blade. It was her hope that she would find a way to turn this fearsome weapon against mortals. Zahmekoses agreed, stating only that she must journey to Spinesreach herself to look upon the blade. Yet her studies were interrupted when the very earth began to shake beneath her feet. For far in the northern ruins of Hashan, the spirit of Garlosha awoke, drawn eternally towards his ancient sword. The blade sensed its master, reaching out to his dark power. It began to weaken Amairgen, blocking her attempts to control its magic. Calling upon Zahmekoses, she returned the blade to him, bidding him to find a way to destroy it and rid the Consanguine of the threat once and for all. Unfortunately, their attempt to feed the blade to a humgii was not successful, and the sword was stolen by Exodus, who sped off through a womhole with his treasure.

Gar'losha was mighty in his anger. As he searched for his sword, a multitude of people fell to his power, yet still he raged on, promising to continue the slaughter until the blade was returned to him. Eventually the blade came into the hands of Winger Imperil, who entered into the mysterious realm of phase space to avoid the attacks of the spirit. However, immediately after leaving the confined security of phase he found himself chased down by the ancient king. In the depth of the Vashnar Mountains Winger could no longer outrun the mighty spirit, and fell to its strength. Yet none could have predicted what occurred next, for in his moment of triumph Gar'losha plunged the blade into his own chest, reuniting with it in body as well as spirit. Both demon and sword vanished, yet a pillar of fire remained where they once were. The flames raged on over the Vashnars for many a day, a fitting funeral pyre for a being of great evil and power...
