From deep within the being of Varian does come the powerful, ubiquitous fabric known as Essence. In this raw and chaotic form, it is unusable by all except the Gods themselves. It is the Shaper's responsibility to wrestle and twist and mold the fabric of Reality until it is tangible to mortals.
Belakai, the Shaper, serves all of mortality and does not favor any single faction.
The Celestine has since felt it of value to disperse the essence of the Shaper to strengthen the Gods' influence over this continent.
