The '''Mystics''' were an ancient order of mortals occupying the now-destroyed [[Misty Isles]]. They pioneered the concept of [[leyline|seamlore]], developed shapeshifting, and possessed the skills needed to tap and manipulate leyline energy without [[Dreikathi|machinery]] or [[Ankyreans|advanced facilities]]. Little is known about their culture or downfall, but presumably they were eventually destroyed during the Age of Despair or erased by the Grand Artifice.
