South of the mighty peaks of the Vashnar Mountains, the many tributaries of the great Itzatl River flow between the trees of an expansive rainforest. The dense foliage of the area is known for its winding paths and difficult terrain... and for its unfriendly inhabitants.

Deep within the growing darkness of the rainforest, a force of corruption works its will against the weakened faith of the inhabitants. The village of Saluria stands alone amongst the humid wilderness a bastion of light and civilization in a harsh environment. Its inhabitants are mostly Rajamala though they are quite tolerant of other races.

The flowing waters of the great Itzatl River flow over the red and black stones of the rainforest, and its history passes into the memory of time.
