The Grand Artifice was a work of Divine magic crafted by the Articifer to conceal the magnitude of the fall of the Ankyrean Order and steal the knowledge of the leylines from mortalkind. It entirely rewrote the memories of almost all of mortalkind, cloaking the world beneath a false veil, and has only relatively recently began to fail en masse.
