The original Houses of the Undead were founded shortly after Abhorash received his gift from Queen Belladona over a century ago. To some, the Houses of the Undead are the greatest achievement of the Undead; they stand as symbols of the Infinite, much like the timelessness of the Undead. To others, the diversity of the Undead Houses in their individual philosophies and organization rivals that of the mortal guilds. Once founded, the Houses of the Undead cannot be destroyed, though it is up to their leadership to ensure that they don't fall into futility and a powerless future.
Much like a guild, the House has ranks that have various privileges associated with them. Much like a clan, those privileges can be customized completely to how the House functions. Houses of the Undead have a Head to lead the organization, and can not only take the Patronage of one of the Divine, but also align themselves with a City and with the Consanguine Imperium.
Two types of houses exist, Major and Minor. A Minor house will become a Major house when they hit certain activity requirements. A Major house will become a Minor house should their activity wane.
